The Preserves is owned by one of our oldest members, Carol Hillman. Carol was the only Franklin County woman among 147 women honored as a Commonwealth Heroine, class of 2026, by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women in May; as well as receiving an honorary doctorate from Smith College, her alma mater! At age 99, she still tends her flower gardens and welcomes guests. There is seating overlooking one of the orchards and the Quabbin reservoir, walking paths, and a dahlia garden to
explore.
Come meet some new and familiar Village Neighbor folks and
soak in the beauty of Fall in western Massachusetts.
